    Essential Responsibilities

    • Protect and insure the stability of operational systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain
    • Monitor and evaluate system performance and identify variances between expected and realized results
    • Track, report on and proactively respond to performance variations
    • Define and respond to alerts and incidents per agreed SLAs
    • Improve early detection of issues through automation
    • Manage code releases to pre-production and production environments
    • Drive improvements to the change and release management processes to ensure optimal success ratios
    • Assist in the definition of processes and standards related to production functions
    • Partner with Infrastructure and Application teams during system design and development to identify and recommend changes to improve system performance
    • Provide timely resolution and communication of tickets in the production support queue
    • Troubleshoot, isolate, resolve and report on production issues
    • Determine the root cause of incidents and make recommendations for prevention in the future
    • Enforce compliance requirements for all supported environments
    • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to prioritize known defects and intermediate workarounds


    • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or similar field (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
    • 6+ years’ experience in production support or similar roles involving internally developed and/or 3rd-party applications
    • Working knowledge and/or experience in various underlying technologies including:
    • Relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server)
    • Web servers
    • Messaging protocols
    • ETL
    • Web development platforms (.Net, Java, etc.)
    • Application monitoring and alerting
    • Query and reporting tools
    • FTP/SFTP
    • Experience with networking and infrastructure components such as DNS, load balancers, firewalls and proxy servers
    • Experience with SQL scripting and queries 


    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience with CRM, ERP or other enterprise-level application platforms
    • Experience with the definition, acquisition, configuration, implementation and maintenance of packaged applications
    • Experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based solutions
    • Experience with MS Office 365
