Position Overview

The Treasury Banking Manager will perform a variety of financial/accounting assignments necessary to assist in the processing of cash flows on a daily basis. Responsible for reconciling the Company's corporate cash accounts and assisting with and directing the processing of various payment exception activities. Assists with the training and mentoring of team members having varying responsibilities related to chargebacks and reconciling cash on behalf of our clients.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly reconciliation of corporate bank accounts and timely notifying finance and business unit personnel of banking transactions requiring entry into accounting system.
  • Responsible for positive pay activities, processing stop-payments, and reporting check voids to our banking partners
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate application of driver/citizen payment exceptions to proper accounts within Company accounting systems and investigation of payment rejections or discrepancies.
  • Manages team of two chargeback clerks responsible for processing chargeback responses with merchant processors, providing direction and mentoring.
  • Prepares monthly reports of chargeback performance metrics to be reported to senior leadership.
  • Manages accountant responsible for reconciling client bank accounts timely along with regular payment sweeps of receipts to the client
  • Responsible for seeking opportunities for efficiencies and automation in assigned tasks.
  • Assists with training and mentoring of Treasury and Finance team members.
  • Reviews work of chargeback and client banking team members for accuracy.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in financing and accounting; cash accounting and banking transaction/credit card processing experience preferred
  • Proven ability to analytical and handle date effectively, accurately, and timely
  • Prior experience with bank account reconciliation
  • Must have prior work experience using an automated general ledger accounting system (Great Plains experience preferred)
  • Must be well versed in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and related internal controls.
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel and be able to manipulate large amounts of data and banking transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and understand when it’s appropriate to escalate issues to leadership.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess the maturity to handle sensitive, confidential information on behalf of the customers of our clients.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
